Street Sweeping to Begin in Cheshire

Street sweeping of town roads to remove winter sand and debris will begin on April 2, the town reported on its website.

Work will begin in the southwest portion of town and move next to the southeast section followed by the northeast quadrant and finally the northwest section.

Work is scheduled to be finished by mid-May. A and is posted in the Public Works Department at Town Hall. 

Before the roads are swept, residents are asked to sweep sand into the street from their sidewalks, driveway entrances and curbside grass strips.

Basketball hoops or any other obstruction should be revmoved from the right-of-way, and vehicles may not park on the street when sweepers are in the neighborhood.
