Suzio Supports Vet Tax Credits

Sen. Len Suzio will visit Cheshire Friday to inform residents of a new federal law that gives businesses a tax credit of up to $5,600 for hiring military veterans.

Suzio will meet with residents at 12:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Plaza in front of He will be accompanied by John White, Commander of the VFW Post 10052.

“Many area employers do not know that there is now a state tax credit for companies wishing to hire veterans,” Suzio said in a statement. “By matching up unemployed vets with businesses looking for help, we can create a win-win situation across the state," he added.
