This Week in Cheshire: Oktoberfest, Library Book Sale

It's Monday, Oct. 21 and here's what's going on this week in Cheshire:

— On Monday, the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce will host Oktoberfest at the Watch Factory Restaurant, 122 Elm St. Ricci Construction provides the entertainment and beer will be courtesy of Eye Center of Southern Connecticut and Cheshire Orthopedic. The cost is $37 for members and $47 for non-members.

— The Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive Cheshire Lutheran Church
660 W. Main St. Wednesday from 11:15 a.m. - 4 p.m. For information, call 800-733-2767.

— The Friends of the Cheshire Library will hold its annual Book Sale this week.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 23: Members Only Preview Sale 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. New members always welcome. Sign up that night and attend the preview!
  • Thursday, Oct. 24: 9:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 25: 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 26: 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
— The Cheshire Historic District Commission meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. in room 210 at Cheshire Town Hall. Find the agenda here.
