This Week in Cheshire: Vote!

There's plenty going on this week, including tomorrow's municipal election.

Today is Monday, Nov. 4 and here's what's going on this week in Cheshire:

— On Monday, the Historic District Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. in room 210 at Town Hall. Find the agenda here.

— Tuesday is Election Day when voters will cast ballots for local offices. While voter turnout is highest in presidential election years, it's the people who will be elected Tuesday who will have the most influence on what goes on in Cheshire for the next two years. So get out and vote!

— For the next three Tuesday nights, Rabbi Josh Whinston will lead a class at Temple Beth David, 3 Main St., about finding the deeper meaning behind many Shabbat rituals. For more information, call (203) 272-0037.

— On Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. the Cheshire Community Band is holding a fundraising event at the Waverly Inn in Cheshire. Tickets are $20, which includes hor d’oeuvres, cash bar, dessert table, silent  auction and raffle. For more information, call 203-494-3633.

— Also on Wednesday, the Parks and Recreation Commission meets at 7 p.m. at the Youth Center — Here's the agenda — and the Public Building Commission meets at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall Council Chambers, and here's what they're up to.

— On Thursday, the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers. The agenda can be found here.
