Danbury Westerners as they face the expansion Plymouth Pilgrims for their only visit to Rogers Park.  The Westerners will be honoring Newtown Youth and Family Services this evening. First pitch is 6:30. Danbury Westerners baseball:  Real Baseball, Real Close.
A Painting Party for Adults with a Twist. Sip your favorite wine or spirits with friends old and new, rekindle your creativity, and make your own original painting. Beginner painters will be offered guidance, seasoned painters are welcome to follow their own path. A great way to de-stress, socialize with fun people, and express your creative self on canvas. Masters & Mixers is run by Georgetown School of the Arts and being held at Two Steps Downtown Grille, 5 Ives St, Danbury.Â
Spinning Straw into Gold, an Entrepreneur's Dream, takes place as a puppet show at 11 a.m. Friday at the Danbury Public Library, 170 Main St. This retelling of Rumpelstiltskin is told with hand puppets that speak directly to the audience, asking their advice on how to turn straw into gold! Officer Buckle is a roly-poly bloke, dedicated to teaching school children important safety tips, such as never put anything in your ear and never stand on a swivel chair. The problem is, Officer Buckle's school assemblies are dull, dull, dull, and the children of Napville just sleep, sleep, sleep. That is, until Gloria the police dog is invited along!
