Anna L. Cassavechia, 89, of Danbury, Passed Away Peacefully
She attended St. Joseph Catholic School, was a graduate of Danbury High School and was a member of St. Peter parish.
DANBURY, CT — Anna L. Cassavechia, 89, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Alteo Cassavechia, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Cassavechia was born in Danbury, July 19, 1927, daughter of the late John and Maria Fiaschetti. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and was a graduate of Danbury High School.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her proudest accomplishment was her four sons. She was their biggest fan attending softball games and other sporting activities. In later years, she enjoyed watching the grandkids in their sporting activities. A big fan of the University of Connecticut Girls Basketball, she also enjoyed the occasional trips to the casinos.
A lifelong Danbury resident and homemaker, she was a member of St. Peter Parish. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cassavechia was predeceased by two daughters-in-law, Wendy Cassavechia and Deborah Cassavechia and by a brother, Anthony Fiaschetti. Mrs. Cassavechia is survived by her four sons, Harry, Larry, Robert and his wife Laura and Michael and his wife Cindy; a brother, John Fiaschetti and his wife Joyce; a sister-in-law, Marge Fiaschetti; eight grandchildren, Allison Cassavechia, Jaime Cassavechia Smith, Eric Cassavechia, Lindsey Cassavechia Liss, Jared Cassavechia, Kaylee Cassavechia, Megan Zander and Kristen Medeiros; six great-grandchildren, Connor and Brady Smith, Adrianna and Savanah Liss and Jeremy and Logan Zander as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church, Danbury. Interment will take place in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. There will be no calling hours. The family takes solace in knowing that she is reunited with our dad.
