RIDGEFIELD, CT — Boehringer Ingelheim announced Thursday that they are laying off 120 people as their Ridgefield/Danbury location, just weeks before the holidays, according to the News Times. Fuel Cell Energy also laid off close to 100 employees Thursday as well.

More than 700 employees of Boehringer Ingelheim were laid off last June and 50 additional jobs were eliminated in Connecticut from their Ridgefield headquarters in February. The company stated the jobs were cut due to "Organizational restructuring."
