Danbury Calls 'Level 1 Snow Emergency' Protocol

DANBURY, CT — The City of Danbury has declared a Level 1 snow emergency for Thursday in anticipation of the impending snow storm.

A Level 1 emergency means that all vehicles are prohibited from parking on city streets beginning two hours after the start of the storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for inland sections of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties from now until 4 a.m. Friday. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch expected.
