Danbury Man Charged with Grand Larceny in NY
Suspect remanded to New York police after serving a term for a separate larceny charge in Connecticut.

A Danbury man was arrested Tuesday in Brewster on an open warrant in connection to the 2010 theft from a New York bank.
In 2010, New York State troopers were dispatched to the M&T Bank in Brewster for a grand larceny complaint. Further investigation identified 45-year-old Agnaldo Vilela, of Danbury, as the suspect, though he was not immediately located.
A warrant was issued for his arrest by the Town of Southeast Court.
In 2011, Vilela was arrested in Connecticut for an unrelated larceny complaint and has remained in custody until now. Vilela served his sentence and was turned directly over to the New York State Police to answer for the grand larceny warrant.
Vilela was charged with grand larceny in the third degree and remanded to Putnam County Jail on $50,000 cash/$100,000 bond.
He has been ordered to appear in Southeast Court on Aug. 12, 2014 at 3 p.m.
