Danbury To Close Road For Eversource Maintenance

DANBURY, CT — Construction work will close a section of Old Shelter Rock Road at times during the next two weeks.

Eversource will be replacing a gas main in the area from the intersection on Skyline Drive to the intersection on Woodside Avenue.

"It has been determined that this section of road is too narrow for construction equipment and motorists to safely use at the same time and therefore a Road Closure and Detour Plan has been developed," Engineering Department officials posted on the city website.

The work will be performed only on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and the road will be reopened each day after 3:30 p.m. Detour and road closure signs are in place to provide motorists prior notice and direct drivers to use alternate routes.
