Danbury Firefighters Tackle New Fairfield Commercial Fire

Crews from around the area were called upon to extinguish a blaze at a New Fairfield self-storage unit.

DANBURY, CT — Crews from the Danbury Fire Department were called into New Fairfield Monday to assist with a fire at a self-storage facility.

DFD firefighters joined colleagues from New Fairfield, Sherman and Putnam Lake, NY, fire firehouses at the blaze on Durham Drive shortly after 3 p.m. A DFD truck was used to gain access to the roof, and tankers were also deployed.

Crews managed to contain the fire to the units where it began, with minimal damage to the adjacent units, according to their report.

No injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation by the New Fairfield Fire Marshal's Office.
