Danbury Man Threatened to Shoot Up Construction Site: Police

Police say the Danbury man had a dispute with the general contractor and came to the construction site, threatening violence.

DANBURY, CT — Police charged a Danbury man with breach of peace and criminal mischief after they say he caused a disturbance at a construction site.

Officers from the Danbury Police Department were called to the site on Backus Avenue after receiving a complaint that Tod Sparks, 39, of Starr Avenue, was damaging property and threatening to shoot people.

When police arrived, they learned that Sparks had a dispute with the general contractor and in the process smashed a window and threatened to shoot people, according to their report. Sparks was not in possession of a firearm, police said.

Police took Sparks to Police HQ and charged him with criminal mischief, breach of peace, disorderly conduct and threatening. He was released after posting a cash bond.
