Danbury Police: DUI, Threatening, Drug Possession

Several charges filed in Danbury this past week.

Courtney Nelson, 28, of Danbury, was charged with DUI on July 28 at approximately 12:53 a.m. after police observed her driving erratically on the Interstate 84 east exit 5 off ramp.

Nelson was released on $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on August 12.

Govanni Hernandez-Maldondo, 33, of Brookfield, was charged with first-degree threatening and second-degree threatening on July 26 at approximately 2:44 p.m. following an incident in Danbury.

Hernandez-Maldondo was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on August 6.

Nicolas Gutierrez, 18, of Danbury, was charged with possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana on July 26 at approximately 11:09 p.m.

Gutierrez is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on August 19.

Zachary Riley, 21, of Danbury, was charged with violation of probation on July 25 at approximately 7:23 p.m.

Riley was held on $5,000 bond with an appearance in Danbury Superior Court pending.
