DANBURY, CT --- Police have taken to social media to announce they have established a shelter for residents who are without power and need to use a medical device, such as oxygen, ventilators, etc. The shelter will remain open until further notice.
The shelter is located at the Bill Williams Gymnasium on the mid-town campus of Western CT State University. The gym is located on Osborne Street near Dr. James Roach Blvd in downtown Danbury.
Police are urging residents who are unable to arrange for their own transportation to call 911 for assistance.
