Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Southern Connecticut
The National Weather Service is cautioning residents that more severe weather is possible in the forecast for Southern Connecticut.

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Southern Connecticut in advance of Thursday where strong to severe thunderstorms are possible.
The NWS says, "Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon into Thursday night, mainly across the interior. Some of these storms may be capable of producing damaging winds."
According to the NWS, it appears the best chance for severe weather is right on our doorstep in the Hudson Valley, Pennsylvania and parts of NJ, but that line of potential severe weather is right on Southern Connecticut's doorstep, which is what prompted the issuance of the Hazardous Weather Outlook for us.

Before we get to the stormy weather potentially on Thursday, today looks beautiful with sunshine and temps near 70 degrees. And as of right now the Memorial Day weekend weather forecast looks pretty good with sun expected Saturday before rain possibly moves in at night and more sunshine on Sunday with temps near 80 degrees.
The big unknown is Memorial Day's actual weather forecast as some rain is possible but there may also be periods of sun too. It appears that if you have barbecue plans, Sunday is the best weather day of the holiday weekend.

Sweet today, and a heightened concern for severe weather off to our west later tomorrow....and even as the storms die out over us, they will retain come of their strength. An AM shower is possible, and then strong storms possible after 8:00 PM. Remember, this is tomorrow! pic.twitter.com/HQZF8MUgbk

Parts of New York and Pennsylvania seem primed for a big time severe event/tornadoes Thursday afternoon/evening. Plenty of instability/shear. Things much more subdued here but some leftover strong storms possible after sunset. pic.twitter.com/a9QnulKeMm
