'Heavy Damage' After Driver Crashed Into Danbury Building: Report
Firefighters and EMS workers responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a building at 20 Germantown Road.

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters and EMS workers responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a building at 20 Germantown Road shortly after noon on Tuesday.
The report from dispatch indicated the vehicle would require extrication. First responders found "heavy damage" to the building, but no need for extrication.
The driver was taken to Danbury Hospital and treated for minor injuries, according to fire officials.

The Danbury Building Department was requested to the scene to inspect the damage.
Firefighters reported there was minimum disruption to work inside the building, posting on Facebook that "A few appointments were affected by the incident but all offices were returned to work at the conclusion of the incident."
