The Danbury Police Department released the following arrest report.
Following a lengthy investigation by the Danbury Police Department Special Victims Unit, Michael Wilmot, 47, was arrested. Wilmot, a patient care technician at Danbury Hospital, was charged with two counts of sexual assault in the first degree for the sexual assault of a patient under his care on June 12. Wilmot was held on a $50,000 bond.
A spokesperson at Danbury Hospital did not return a request for comment Thursday.
This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
