Over 900 Without Power In Danbury Wednesday Morning

A chain of storms blew into Fairfield County overnight, knocking down power lines throughout the region.

DANBURY, CT — Over 900 Eversource customers in the city woke up without power Wednesday morning, after a chain of storms blew into Fairfield County overnight, knocking down power lines. Over 20,000 Connecticut businesses and residences lost their power overnight.

Reports from the National Weather Service for southern Connecticut had called for heavy, albeit much-needed, rain, particularly in the overnight hours before tapering off late Wednesday morning.

The weather is expected to be less dramatic for the rest of Wednesday. The skies will gradually clear, and the temperatures will rise to near 70. The chance for more rain is 60 percent.
