Plea Negotiations Likely In Fatal Danbury Crash: Report
The crash led to the death of a woman and charges against a police officer, as well as the driver.

DANBURY, CT — After receiving the city police department's internal report, an attorney for a man facing manslaughter charges in a fatal crash has said they are looking to begin plea negotiations, reports the News Times. Senior Assistant Public Defender John Cizik said he and his client Richard Andre are looking to start negotiations when Andre appears in court in January.
Andre, 33, told police he was high on crack cocaine when he flipped a stolen car on Mountville Road nearly 12 times. The crash led to the death of Tiffany Fitzgerald, 26. Fitzgerald was allegedly on the phone with her boyfriend during the crash.
Off-duty officer Jamie Hodge was also charged with reckless driving, after police said he followed Andre's car, recognizing it was stolen. Hodge later resigned after being put on leave.
