Reports of the demise of Crumbs Cupcake Co. may be premature, as a group of investors tries to put together a deal to gobble up the company.
CNBC reports that a group of investors — including the the Fischer Family and Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World and Good Sam Enterprises (and star of CNBC's "The Profit") — are trying to put together financing to keep the cupcakes baking at the chain of stores.
Lemonidis wants to combine holdings of Sweet Pete's Candy into a new entity with Crumbs, according to CNBC.
