Special Weather Statement Just Issued For Danbury Region
BREAKING: A strong thunderstorm is moving through the area now.
The National Weather Service says at 4 p.m. that a strong thunderstorm was located over Peekskill, moving northeast at 30 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Danbury, Peekskill, Mahopac, Lake Carmel, West Point, Sherman, Brewster, Cold Spring, New Windsor, Ridgefield, Brookfield, New Fairfield, Carmel, Yorktown Heights and Fahnestock State Park.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
