Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Northern Fairfield County
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northern Fairfield County.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for inland sections of Fairfield County snow and sleet to impact Tuesday's morning commute. The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m.

"WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze expected.

WHEN...From 1 AM to 10 AM EST Tuesday.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Tonight
Snow and sleet likely between midnight and 4am, then snow, freezing rain, and sleet likely after 4am. Cloudy, with a temperature falling to near 23 by 10pm, then rising to around 30 during the remainder of the night. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday
A chance of rain, freezing rain, and sleet before 7am, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 43. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. South wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Tuesday Night
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1am and 4am, then a chance of showers after 4am. Patchy fog before 4am. Low around 36. Light south wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday
A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 11am, then a slight chance of rain showers between 11am and 2pm, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 42. Wind chill values between 30 and 35. West wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
