Bergenholtz, Schulten Finish 1-2 in Washington Trail Road Race
31-year-old from Glastonbury wins the 10K race.

Glastonbury's Matthew Bergenholtz was the first runner to cross the finish line at Monday's Washington Trail 10K Road Race in Durham. The 31-year-old finished in a time of 36:19.
Middlefield's Chris Schulten, last year's winner (he beat Bergenholtz), finished just 19 seconds behind at 36:38.
More than 400 runners signed up for the 36th annual race which traverses over Durham's difficult backroad terrain along the trail that George Washington used during a trip through Central Connecticut.
Three of the top six spots in the race went to local runners, with Michael Maffel of Durham and Ryan Ford of Middlefield placing in fourth and sixth place, respectively.
Fan favorite Jack McShane crossed the finish line at 41:06 while Cheshire's Jenna Ryan was the top woman's finisher at 41:16.
Micah Hannon, 15, of Middlefield was the top male finisher in the 4K with a time of 13:51 while Katie Cone, 42, of South Windsor was the top female racer at 17:28.
Wheelchair racer Steve Anastasio completed the race at 22:48.
