On July 2, the Regional School District 13 Board of Education held a special meeting to elect new officers.
Current board chairman Kerrie Flanagan was unanimously elected to a one-year term as chairman, ending on June 30, 2014, while Norm Hicks was elected as secretary and Robert Fulton was elected as treasurer of the school board.
In addition, interim superintendent Dr. Ernest Perlini presented the board with a timeline to fill the administrative positions left open by the departure of the school district's superintendent and principal and vice principal at Coginchaug High School.
