Combining Football Teams Considered For Coginchaug Regional High School: Report

DURHAM, CT — Region 13 officials are considering combining the Coginchaug Regional High School football team with another school to boost the number of players and save some money, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.

Such a move would likely not occur during the 2017-18 school year, but officials say that the team could possibly see benefits from merging with Nathan Hale-Ray High School in nearby Moodus.

The Coginchaug team will likely have fewer than 25 returning players next season, according to the publication.
