Durham To Begin Road Chip Sealing this Month

DURHAM, CT — The town's Public Works Department is scheduled to start road chip sealing on Aug. 9, and continue through Aug. 24, officials announced.
The chip sealing process involves the laying of oil and stone and is expected to take approximately one week, according to a post on the town website. Residents are reminded to adhere to the posted 15 miles per hour speed limit on freshly sealed roads and to use alternate routes during working hours to avoid delays.
The following Durham roads are scheduled to receiving chip sealing: Brittany Dr., Side Hill Dr., Salted La., Patterson La., Hi Lo Rd., Auger La., Etzel Dr., Mauro Dr., Old Cemetery Rd., Harvey Rd., Cream Pot Rd., Dionigi Dr., James Rd., James Rd. East, Old Washington Tr., Canterbury Dr., Ridge Rd. North, Ridge Rd. South, South End Ave., Birch Mill Rd., Sand Hill Rd., Pisgah Rd., Laurel Brook Rd., Dead Hill Rd., Meeting House Hill Rd., Thody Dr., Indian La., Creamery Rd., Park Place, Cedar Dr., Laurel Ter., Anthony Ter., Mica Hill Rd., Banta La., and Surry Dr.
