Durham Meadows Superfund Site Public Hearing Wednesday

The hearing is scheduled to discuss the latest on the Durham Meadows Superfund Site project.

DURHAM, CT — A public hearing has been scheduled for tomorrow, March 29, to discuss the implementation of the water line component of the Durham Meadows Superfund Site cleanup project, town officials announced.

"The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is holding a Public Informational Meeting to discuss the implementation of the water line component of the cleanup for the Durham Meadows Superfund Site," wrote officials in a statement on the town's website. "The water line will provide a permanent clean water supply for those properties impacted by the contamination at the Site."

Of the items to be discussed, a "key topic of the meeting will be an update regarding the status of required municipal approvals for the water storage tank and the sections of the water line in Middletown."

The hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Durham Public Library.
