Durham Woman Charged With Driving With a Suspended License, Again

For the second time in less than nine months, Middletown Police have charged a Durham woman with driving on a suspended license.

Crystal Wilcox, 23, of 312 Main Street, was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension and improper parking on May 17.

Shortly after 3 a.m., police responded to the area of Randolph Road and Highland Avenue for a report of a suspicious vehicle. When an officer arrived at the scene, a report says, Wilcox was found to be operating the vehicle.

Wilcox faces similar charges after police say she was to blame for a two-car crash on River Road near Walnut Street last September.

In that case, a witness of the crash told police that Wilcox was speeding, blew through a stop sign and appeared to be texting while driving.
