Based on Damon Runyon’s fabulous stories of Broadway and set in his mythical New York City, this romantic comedy — considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy — introduces audiences to a cast who have become legends in the musical theatre world. Frank Loesser’s toe-tapping score, including fan-favorites such as “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat,” and “I’ve Never Been In Love Before” is the perfect music to complement Runyon’s colorful characters.

The show’s music and lyrics were by Frank Loesser, and the book by Jo Swerling anf Abe Burrows. Famed critic Walter Kerr wrote of the 1955 Broadway revival – “Guys and Dolls is one of the most exhilarating musicals ever written for the American Theatre.” It answers the important questions in life, like: Will Nathan Detroit ever marry his fiancée of fourteen years, Miss Adelaide? Will Nathan elude the authorities to find a place for his long standing floating Crap Game? Can the noted gambler and rogue Sky Masterson overcome the stolid defenses of the beautiful Salvation Army crusader, Sister Sarah Brown? And, of course, does Mindy’s sell more strudel or cheesecake? The show is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
