Irish Music Coming to Durham; Free Soup Luncheon for Seniors Offered
Irish music will be performed after the luncheon and is open to adults of all ages. Reservations are necessary for the senior-only lunch.

A free soup and salad luncheon for seniors will take place at noon Friday, March 4, at the Durham Public Library. Reservations are necessary and should be made before noon on March 2nd by calling Amanda Pedersen, Social Services Director, at 860-349-3153.
The luncheon is funded by the Durham Senior Board, with food provided by Perk On Main. Lunch will be followed by An Afternoon of Irish Music at 1 p.m. for adults of all ages, sponsored by the Durham Senior Board and the Public Association of Library Supporters (PALS).
Sean & Deirdre Murtha will highlight the history of Irish immigration to America through traditional music, song, and dance, accompanying themselves on a variety of instruments including fiddle, bouzouki, guitar, piano, harmonica, tin whistle and bodhran.
