Monday's in April at 9pm on Comcast Channel 15 on Conversations with Jerry Rankin will be about the upcoming "X A Pius Musical” being composed by a parish priest Fr. Erik Lenhart, Brian Niedermayer the parish choir director from the input from all the actors and volunteers.
Fr. Erik and about 12 of the actors and volunteers will be on the show to explain the details of this upcoming exciting event which will be live in the Bill Fortin Memorial Hall at 310 Westfield St. in Middletown. The musical will be scheduled for three shows, Friday May 5th, until Sunday May 7th.
In August of 2016 After an international potluck luncheon there was a preview of the musical. A full version will be in the spring when the parish celebrates its 60th Anniversary. Fr. Erik was inspired to produce the musical because of the interesting life story of Pope St. Pius X previously known as Giuseppe (Joseph) Sarto. Pope Pius X is perhaps best remembered for his encouragement of the frequent reception of Holy Communion, especially by children. Below Is a video of the preview:
