Middlefield's Lyman Orchards Creates Railroad-Themed Sunflower Maze: VIDEO

$1 of every admission to the popular attraction helps support the Connecticut Children's Medical Center Pediatric Care Unit. BREAKING

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — The annual Sunflower Maze at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield opened last weekend and is open every day through Aug. 28.

This year, the popular attraction has a railroad theme, in honor of David Lyman II and the Airline Railroad. Additionally, $1 of every admission helps support the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Pediatric Care Unit.

The orchard is celebrating its 275th anniversary this year, and the annual maze has raised more than $67,700 for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. See the video below from the Lyman Orchards Facebook page.

The maze is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the last admission of the day is at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children aged 4 through 12 and free for children under 3 years old.
