Police Investigate Shooting Incident At Durham Home

Police said a man returned home to find a suspicious vehicle in his driveway and was fired at several times.

DURHAM, CT — Police are investigating after a man's vehicle was shot several times in Durham Monday night. State police from Troop F in Westbrook were dispatched to 49 Mountain Road to investigate the report of a shooting at 10:29 p.m.

It was reported that the homeowner arrived at his residence and noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway. As he approached, the vehicle’s occupants started shooting at him. The homeowner’s vehicle was struck several times, according to a police statement.

The homeowner then retrieved a firearm and returned fire as the suspicious vehicle fled the scene.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark colored Ford pickup truck.
