Road Repairs this Week in Middlefield
Officials urge drivers to observe the temporary speed limit of 15 mph where posted because loose stone conditions.
MIDDLEFIELD, CT — Road repairs and chip sealing began this week in Middlefield on several roads throughout the town, First Selectman Edward P. Bailey announced.
The Middlefield Highway Department and New England Asphalt Services LLC are expected to complete the work during the week of September 12.
"Residents are asked to observe 'Men at Work' signs by using extreme caution when driving in work zones," Bailey wrote in a statement. "Please observe the temporary speed limit of 15 mph where posted because loose stone conditions."

The following roads are scheduled:
- Cherry Hill Road
- Spring Street
- Powder Hill Road
- South Street
- Louis Road
