The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement as a strong thunderstorm is moving into the area now.

At 448 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Wallingford, moving east at 30 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Meriden, Middletown, Wallingford, Guilford, Clinton, Old Saybrook, Durham, Salem, Chester, East Lyme, North Branford, East Haddam, Haddam, Old Lyme and Westbrook.
