'Strolling' Hawk Rescued on I-91 in Connecticut

The walking red tailed hawk was discovered Wednesday afternoon.

A red tailed hawk decided to take a stroll on I-91 near Berlin Wednesday, requiring a phalanx of state police troopers, Department of Transportation and Department of Energy and Environmental Protection personnel to rescue.

State police posted about the hawk on its Facebook page, having a little fun in the process. "Luckily things didn’t take a tern for the worse and we were able to take the hawk under our wing and protect it from the cars flying by," they wrote. "No fowl play is suspected in this case - DEEP will be providing further assistance."
