Wadsworth Falls State Park beach in Middlefield was closed Tuesday after tests determined unsafe water quality levels, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The swimming area is one of only two in the state to close over higher than acceptable bacteria levels. The other is Rocky Neck East End Beach.
DEEP officials will test the water again on Wednesday morning to determine if the swimming area is safe to open.
