Arrigoni Winery Celebrating 4th Anniversary
The Portland vineyard is celebrating with trivia and games, live music and locally-made cake.
Arrigoni Winery in Portland has been open for business for four years this May and will be celebrating this weekend with a birthday party featuring trivia and games, live music and locally-made cake.
More than 16 different wines are available for tasting or purchase in glass, bottle or cases. Covered and open-air seating is available for views of the vineyards and live music. Food is welcome at the winery but outside beverages are not.
The winery is open Friday, May 13, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with singer and guitarist Carrie Ashton playing from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, May 14, the party continues while the winery is open, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with singer and guitarist Ben Kane playing from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. On Sunday, the winery is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with singer and acoustic guitarist Mike Rau playing from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Arrigoni Winery and giftshop is located inside a restored barn on an historic farmstead that encompasses 200 acres of farmland nestled between Route 66 and the Connecticut River. The winery is family owned and operated.
The tradition of wine-making has been passed down in the family for several generations. The winery is named after the landmark Arrigoni Bridge that spans the Connecticut River between Middletown and Portland.
