Budget Presentation

Tuesday March 13th!

Get involved in your town!

The Town of Portland is developing a budget to present to the voters for the fiscal year that begins in July. To be part of the process, stay informed through attending workshops at Portland Library and participating in public hearings held at Portland High School.

The First Select woman’s budget is presented and open for public comment on Tuesday, March 13th at Portland Middle School auditorium at 7 pm. Following the Selectmen’s workshops and deliberations, a hearing on the Board of Selectmen’s proposed budget takes place at a Town meeting on Monday May 7th. Amendments may be made if a quorum of voters attend. Visit the Town’s website for more information.

The voters have a chance to accept the proposed budget during a referendum to be held on Monday May 14th at the Portland Middle School. Stay informed - and exercise your rights to participate in your Town government!
