Dog Bites Firefighter While Being Rescued From Blaze: Report
Fire officials said a firefighter was bitten while rescuing a dog from an East Hampton house fire.

EAST HAMPTON, CT — A firefighter was bitten while rescuing a family dog from a house fire in East Hampton, the Middletown Press reported. The incident occurred Tuesday around 8:30 p.m.
According to the Middletown Press, the firefighter suffered a small bite to his hand when he tried to evacuate the scared canine from the home. Animal Control officials said the dog must be quarantined for 14 days due to the incident.
Fire officials said the blaze was confined to the Dziok Drive home's living room and most likely began in a piece of furniture, according to the Middletown Press. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
