East Hampton Police Blotter: Sept. 7 - Sept. 14

Sept. 10
A 16-year-old juvenile from East Hampton was issued a ticket for failure to obey a stop sign and violation of motor vehicle passenger restrictions imposed on persons 16 or 17 years old during the period of six months after issuance of license. As a result the dirver’s license was suspended for 48 hours.

Officers Gionfriddo and Wilson responded to a report of an erratic operator in a large pickup truck heading eastbound on Route 66 being followed by a Middlesex Paramedic. Officer Gionfriddo was able to locate the truck in question, which was weaving back and forth over the double yellow lines and successfully initiate a traffic stop. Patrick Brogan, 21, of 23 Dogwood Drive, East Hampton, was placed under arrest for failure to drive right, driving under the influence and having improper fenders.
