East Hampton Police Sickened After Responding To Call
Police responded to a breaking and entering call and were immediately overwhelmed by a substance believed to narcotics.
EAST HAMPTON, CT — Police officers responded to a breaking and entering call at Lovefield Street home Friday night only to be overwhelmed by a substance that is believed to be fentanyl or carfentanil.
The officers were treated at a hospital and released. The officers are now doing fine, according to a social media post from the police department.
The investigation is ongoing. Police said an initial investigation by the Fire Department and Hazmat Team found narcotics in the house.
