Expect Route 66 Delays from Portland to the East Hampton Town Line Starting Friday
The CT Department of Transportation will begin milling and resurfacing Route 66 in Portland Friday.

The Portland Town Hall parking lot is not the only spot in town expected to see some rough driving conditions when the state begins roadwork on Route 66 this Friday.
Starting Friday morning commuters should expect lane closures on a 2.87 mile stretch of Route 66 from Route 17 in Portland to the East Hampton town line as the Connecticut Department of Transportation begins milling and resurfacing the road.
Lanes will be closed while work takes place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The project is expected to take place beginning Friday and lasting through Thursday, Aug. 8. However, the schedule may be extended due to weather delays or unforeseen conditions.
