Petition To Release Portland Pit Bull Gains Steam
Rocky, a mixed-breed pit bull has been impounded for two years after attacking a dog walker.

PORTLAND, CT — About two dozen people urged the Board of Selectman to let a mixed breed pit bull who attacked a dog walker two years ago go home and not be euthanized.
Rocky's attack sent a victim to the hospital in January 2016, according to the Middletown Press. He required stitches to his ankles, thighs and groin region.
Since then Rocky has been at the Portland pound while the state reviews the case.

"Rocky has been living in isolation in quarantine for over two years while a decision is being made regarding his fate. He doesn't need to be killed, just closely monitored in his yard and home," she said.
