Red Flag Warning on Fire Danger Issued for Portland Area
The fire danger level is high and wind gusts make conditions ripe for fires to start, the Portland Fire Department said.
The Portland CT Fire Department released the following warning Tuesday, April 19:
The National Weather Service had issued a red flag warning from noon today until 8 p.m. Any open burn permits are not valid for the day. The fire danger is high combined with expected wind a small fire has the potential to rapidly grow. If you see someone burning please call 911 to report it.
