Ellington Farmers Market Fiber Festival Sat. May 16th from 9-12, Arbor Park. Enjoy the animals and hands on activities for kids.

Saturday May 16th the Ellington Farmers’ Market is hosting “All’s Wool that Ends Wool” fiber festival from 9am-12 noon in Arbor Park, Main St., Ellington.

The winner of the Name the Lamb Contest will be announced. There is still time to vote for the top six names by “ liking” the posts on Facebook. Just click the link and “like” the name. Ezmeralda, Woolite, Posey, Ba-Ba Ann, Lambington, and Baathany

Highlights of the morning will include a sheep shearing demonstration at 10:00am and kids can try their hand at Soap Felting and Needle Felt. There will be spinning and lace making demonstrations along with a variety of locally produced yarns, fibers and ready-made products. Fiber producing animals such as baby Colored Angora Goats, Angora Rabbits, Alpacas and sheep will be on hand for your family’s enjoyment. Musical entertainment will be provided by Sheryl Stanton. 40 vendors will be on hand with their local and fresh products. For a complete list of vendors go to the market website.
