Apple Festival and Root Farmers Band at Ellington Farmers' Market Oct. 1st from 9-12
It's all about about apples and fiddle music this week. Crisp juicy apples, hot apple crisp, pies, breads and lots more with 40 vendors!

Apple Festival
There is nothing better than a crisp juicy New England apple and we will have have plenty of those fall beauties at the market this Saturday. We will be serving LuAnn's Bakery warm apple crisp for a fantastic breakfast treat and there will be plenty of apple pies, breads, pastries, butters, and jams for purchase. The CT Apple Board will be handing out apple samples, recipes and information on all that's apple in Connecticut. Root Farmers Band will be providing some good old fashioned "fiddle" music for you to enjoy.

Root Farmers
Root Farmers will be playing some "old time" country and blues music, a blend of American, Irish and French-Canadian fiddle tunes and sing in harmony with the tunes. The band features fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin and Irish flute. Bring a chair and enjoy the morning!

October 22nd - Halloween Pet Parade
Bring your pets dressed in their Halloween finery to the final outdoor market. Parade begins at 10:30 and prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.
The Market is Matching SNAP Dollars
HOW? Present your EBT card at the Market Booth where you can request any dollar amount to be debited from your card. That amount will be given to you in the form of SNAP coins redeemable at the Ellington Farmers Market only. The market will match the amount of snap coins up to $20 per week. We deduct $20 from you EBT and give you $40 in SNAP coins to spend.
