Birds of Prey Program at Ellington Farmers' Market

Bring a chair and enjoy the Birds of Prey Program at 10:30 in the big gazebo as part of the "Be Kind to Your Feathered Friends" theme.

As part of the market’s theme “Be Kind to Your Feathered Friends”, a Birds of Prey program will be held at the Ellington Farmers’ Market on Saturday Oct. 11th at 10:30 am in the big gazebo. A raptor rehabilitation expert from the CT Audubon Society’s will be bringing four birds including Cookie, a Barred Owl and Trinity, a Red Tail Hawk. Get close up and personal with live raptors to learn about the special adaptations and the role they play in our ecosystem. The morning will also feature information on feeding backyard birds throughout the upcoming winter months. The market is open from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main St. Ellington.
