Birds of Prey Program at Ellington Farmers' Market Oct. 10th

Get up close to a bald eagle and other raptures at "Be Kind to Your Feathered Friends" theme. Advice on bird feeding, bird items and more!

Horizon Wings, a non-profit Nature Rehabilitation Center specializing in Birds of Prey will presenting a one hour free program at the Ellington Farmers’ Market on Saturday Oct. 10th at 10:00AM as part of the market’s theme “Be Kind to Your Feathered Friends” Horizon Wings will be bringing a variety of raptures including Atka, an American Bald Eagle. Get close up and personal with live raptors to learn about the special adaptations and the role they play in our ecosystem. The morning will also feature information on feeding backyard birds throughout the upcoming winter months handcrafted bird feeders and bird houses will be available for purchase. The market, offering forty vendors bringing a wide variety of farm products, specialty foods and artisan wares is open from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main St. Ellington.
