The Ellington Farmers' Market annual Blueberry Festival will be held on Saturday July 20th from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main St., Ellington. Fresh blueberry shortcake from locally grown berries with homemade biscuits from the popular LuAnn's Bakery and fresh whipped cream will be served. Blueberry products including jams, baked goods, blueberry honey and even blueberry pecans will be available along with fresh blueberries direct from several local blueberry farms. Ellington Community Theater will be providing the musical entertainment. The market hosts 40 vendors bringing farm products, specialty foods and artisan wares. Come early to beat the heat and enjoy a breakfast of blueberry shortcake under the shade trees.
